Conceptual light installation
Project
Light Above the Crowd
This video installation concept is the result of a collaborative effort between multiple artists, bringing together distinct creative perspectives into a single immersive environment. Suspended above an open public space, the structure hovers over the audience, supported by a crane-like truss system that allows the entire installation to exist as a floating architectural presence.
Within this spatial canvas, video works by various artists unfold across multiple visual languages, from digital imagery to tactile macro film. Resulting in a layered dialogue between scale, technique, and artistic expression.

Chapter 01
Marta Pang x Sub.Bunker
Generative artist Marta Pang created an abstract organic visual using TouchDesigner. Flowing forms and evolving textures respond to the floating LED architecture and emphasize movement, rhythm, and depth.
Magic
Chapter 02
Jim de Brouwer x Sub.Bunker
Jim de Brouwer developed an ASCII based visual behaving like fluid matter. Characters dissolve into motion and react dynamically to the installation's open structure, merging digital typography with spatial video design.
Bizarre
Chapter 03
Simon David Ryden x Sub.Bunker
Simon David Ryden produced a smoke-like fluid simulation in TouchDesigner that visually interacts with the geometry of the suspended screens. The result is a spatial atmosphere that feels embedded within the LED volume itself.

Chapter 04
Vixxuals x Sub.Bunker
Vixxuals contributed analogue Liquid Light visuals filmed with real liquids and chemical reactions. Colliding, merging, and repelling materials create a psychedelic sensory layer that contrasts with the digital structure while enhancing its immersive quality.

Design
The installation design and 3D visualizations were developed by Submarine Bunker, forming a framework of see-through LED screens arranged as a volumetric, cube-like object. High-reaching LED strokes extend the composition vertically, while a combination of rounded and rectangular screen shapes creates a dynamic balance between softness and structure.
